AI4GREENDEAL

The AI4GREENDEAL project pioneers innovative approaches to bridge the skills gap in sustainable energy and artificial intelligence (AI) across Europe. Co-funded by the European Union and coordinated by InnoEnergy with support from HaDEA, the project brings together top universities, research institutions, and industry partners from 10 EU countries to design and deliver a Double Degree Master’s in Advanced Energy Systems and AI. The programme also offers flexible, stackable modules to enable lifelong learning and upskilling, making advanced education accessible to working professionals and a broader audience. 

At its core, AI4GREENDEAL will facilitate: 

– The development of a cutting-edge curriculum integrating AI technologies with advanced energy systems, covering areas such as energy storage, demand-side management, and behind-the-meter applications. 
– Flexible and modular learning paths, allowing students and professionals to upskill through stackable courses and lifelong learning opportunities. 
– Engagement with industry and research partners to ensure the programme aligns with current and future sector needs. 
– Practical training through internships, collaborative projects, and real-world applications across multiple EU countries. 

A Focus on Skills, Innovation, and Sustainable Energy 

AI4GREENDEAL explores innovative educational approaches to prepare the next generation of energy professionals. By combining AI, advanced energy systems, and entrepreneurial skills, the programme equips graduates to lead the digital transformation of the energy sector and contribute to Europe’s sustainable energy and climate goals. 

Watt-IS’s Role in AI4GREENDEAL 

As part of the consortium, Watt-IS brings its expertise in AI-powered energy management systems to the programme. Watt-IS supports curriculum development and real-world case studies, ensuring students gain hands-on experience with intelligent energy solutions and the latest industry technologies. 

Driving Collaboration and European Excellence 

AI4GREENDEAL unites academic institutions, research organisations, and industry leaders—including KU Leuven, UPC, Grenoble INP – UGA, Siemens Energy, and more—to combine teaching excellence, innovation, and industry-relevant skills development. By delivering a double degree and modular courses, the project creates practical, scalable, and impactful learning opportunities for Europe’s energy workforce.
